Meet Sheepstealer, the Rogue Dragon from House of the Dragon
A Formidable Creature Roams the Skies
Dragon's Delight
Among the wild dragons that soared through the skies during the tumultuous Dance of the Dragons, Sheepstealer stood as a formidable and enigmatic figure. Known for its insatiable appetite for mutton, this male dragon made its lair at the secluded Dragonmont, from where it would embark on daring hunts.
A Dragon's Journey
Sheepstealer's origins remain shrouded in mystery. Its presence on Dragonstone is hinted at in George R.R. Martin's "Fire & Blood," where Daemon Targaryen mentions three wild dragons nesting there. In the prequel series, "House of the Dragon," Sheepstealer is depicted as a large and powerful creature dwelling in the Vale of Arryn, a departure from the source material.
A Unique Destiny
Whether in the books or the show, Sheepstealer's fate takes an unexpected turn. In Martin's novel, the dragon is claimed by a shepherd named Nettles, forming an unlikely bond with the young woman. In "House of the Dragon," Sheepstealer's destiny remains to be fully revealed, but its presence in the series promises to add an element of danger and intrigue to the narrative.
